Routes into Teaching

Are you interested in training to become a teacher? 

 

At the Anglo European School we are committed to welcoming graduates and career changers into our exciting profession.   If you are interested in training to become a teacher, there are a variety of flexible routes.  

We are a well-established, experienced partner school of BEC Teacher Training, Essex School Direct and The Institute of Education.

 

The BEC Teacher Training, based at The Bromfords School, provide a School Centred Initial Teacher Training where trainees are placed in a local school for an A-placement.   Trainees then complete a B-placement in the Spring which offers an alternative teaching experience.  All taught content is face-to-face.

Essex School Direct, based at Davenant Foundation School, work in conjunction with Tes Institute to offer a school-based teacher training programme.   Trainees are placed in a local school for their A-placement.   Trainees then complete a B-placement in the Spring which offers an alternative teaching experience.

The Institute of Education, based in London, provide a PGCE programme where you will gain extensive practical classroom experience through two teaching placements.

With all providers, you will be assigned an experienced mentor within your chosen subject, who will guide and support you as you develop the skills needed to become an outstanding teacher.   You will also be supported by a Professional Mentor in school who oversees all trainees.
