Native Speaker Volunteers

Do you have any availability between 9:10am and 3:30pm to support our students with their language learning? Every year we welcome a group of native speakers from our wider school community to support our Sixth Form students with their language learning.  The Heads of Subject liaise with the volunteers, who then have a regular slot with a small group of students at a time to practice their speaking skills ahead of their exams.

Teacher of Business Studies

Required from September 2024.  We are seeking an enthusiastic and well qualified teacher of Business Studies, who has a commitment to developing good teaching and learning practices, leading to excellent student progress.

Business Studies is extremely popular in KS4 and in our outstanding Sixth Form.  In partnership with the Peter Jones Foundation, the school launched an International Enterprise Academy in September 2021. This position provides an opportunity to contribute to this exciting initiative.  This is an exciting time to join an experienced team who have real ambition for these subjects.

The department teaches a wide range of Business courses, including GCSE, A Level and International Baccalaureate Standard level. 

This would be an attractive opportunity for a new entrant to the profession, although equally attractive to a more experienced colleague.  We have a positive commitment to supporting Newly Qualified teachers and a comprehensive staff development programme.

It is also a very popular subject in our outstanding Sixth Form with 42% of the 6th form students studying a Mathematics course.  In 2023, 33% of the A level students gained A*-B grades and 71% of the IB students gained grades 7-5 (on both Maths Analysis and Maths Applications courses).

Subject Leader - Drama

Required from September 2024, an innovative and inspirational teacher to lead our Drama department.  The person appointed will be expected to teach Drama at all key stages.  The post would suit either an experienced subject leader or an ambitious and successful teacher who is keen to develop their leadership potential.

 

The successful candidate needs to be an excellent classroom practitioner with the ability to lead and manage a busy department. They must have a passion for performance and the ability to inspire and develop students’ creativity. As subject leader, they will be accountable for raising student achievement and delivering an exciting, challenging and engaging curriculum.

 

They will be joining a lively and very successful Arts Department who work collaboratively to ensure many outstanding productions, extra-curricular activities and events. The school is an RSC Associate school and has also been awarded the Artsmark Platinum Award in recognition of its outstanding provision and contribution to arts education.  This is the highest award afforded to schools by the Arts Council.  It enables Anglo European to develop further leadership of the arts and gain recognition for the outstanding quality of teaching and learning, securing its position as a leading advocate for the place of arts and culture in schools.

Lead Science Technician

A Lead Science Technician is required to lead and manage a team of Science Technicians in a vibrant and supportive science department.  We are looking for an experienced Technician, with Biology and Chemistry knowledge, but all applications are very welcome as there is much flexibility in this post.  Our ideal candidate will have experience of implementing COSH requirements and advising science subject leads on efficient and effective experimentation and resourcing.  There will also be opportunities to get involved in supporting young scientists for the future.  Experience of supporting the Radiation Protection Supervisor is desirable but not essential.

We would consider a job share for this post.

Hours:           Monday to Thursday 08:15 – 16:30

                     Friday 08:15 – 16:00

                     37 hours per week term time only including 3 training days.

Salary:           Scale 6 Point 13 (13-17) £23,364.79 per annum (gross)

Teacher of Spanish

We are looking for a teacher of Languages to teach Spanish across the full ability and age range including 'A' level and International Baccalaureate.  The ability to teach another language is desirable.
