Bernardette Holmes MBE, NCLE Director (National Consortium for Foreign Languages) and Hannah Jack from Department for Education visited the school to meet with leaders of our national Languages Hub to evaluate our first year leading this national project.

During the course of the day, they witnessed the inaugural year's work through a focused pedagogical visit where they observed languages lessons, met with student ambassadors and then conducted a strategic review and action planning meeting with Mrs Gee, Mrs Peeters and our specialist teachers of languages.

We are looking forward to working with the five spoke schools across the Eastern region in the coming year to enhance the provision and teaching of languages nationally.

Bernardette Holmes MBE said "What an excellent model and example of how a lead hub school takes forward its partners and builds system leadership for the future!".

Hannah Jack added, "I appreciated being able to speak to the pupils about their own language learning journeys and how the brilliant languages offer at your school has been instrumental in shaping their plans for the future."
