NCLE Filming

The Beeleigh Language Hub was pleased to welcome Bernadette Holmes MBE, NCLE Director along with a film crew from the NCLE. They spent the whole day filming various languages classes with the intention of creating a centralised CPD website aimed at languages teachers across the UK.

The purpose of this filming is to showcase effective teaching and learning methodologies in MFL lessons and the impact on student progress. Two of our Language Hub Specialist Teachers, Mrs Peeters and Mrs Latimer were filmed teaching their Y11 German and Spanish lessons in order to exemplify best practice in action.

In addition to the lesson filming, the film crew recorded some of our students speaking about their language learning journey and conducted interviews with our Specialist Teachers and the Headteacher to explore the theory behind the practice seen in the classroom and consider languages leadership strategy in more detail.

It was an exciting day for everyone involved and we can't wait to see the finished product when it goes live in the new year.
