GCSE 2026 Post-Results Guidance  


If your results are not what you expected please don't worry, there are two post-results services available. 

 

  • First check your results against the grade boundaries. Click here to check.
  • If you would like to review any of your grades, you can request a copy of your exam script(s). 
Access to script(s).  

This allows you to view the marked script (paper) before deciding whether to request a review of marking. The cost of this is £5 per script - not per subject.  Payment should be made at the same time as submitting the request form (payment details can be found at the bottom of this page). 

If you wish to request more than one script, you will need to complete one form for each script. Payments can be made as one total amount.

Access to Script Request Form - A Level & GCSE 2026  

Once you have submitted your request, the script(s) will be sent to your school email account. We recommend that you review your script(s) and discuss your options with your teacher and/or parents or guardians.  Please note that, due to the school holidays, some teachers may not be available. If you do not receive a response within three days, you may need to make your decision without teacher advice. Please be aware that the Exams Team is unable to give advice on exam scripts.


Review of Marking 

If, after reviewing your script, you believe there may have been a marking error, you can request a review (remark). 

Please be aware of these possible outcomes: 

  • Your mark decreases, resulting in a lower grade.  
  • Your mark stays the same.  
  • Your mark increases, but not enough to change your grade.  
  • Your mark increases enough to improve your grade. If this happens, the review fee will be refunded minus a £5 administration fee.

Important Advice:
Submit one examination script at a time for review. One script's mark could increase while another’s could decrease, so reviewing scripts individually can reduce the risk.

* Requests for all services are charged per individual paper/unit/component within a subject. Fees apply to each paper/unit/component, not to the subject as a whole. (e.g GCSE Maths has 3 components 1MA1 1H, 1MA1 2H & 1MA1 3H for Papers 1, 2 & 3)
